About Me

Hi and Welcome! I have experience training a variety of animals (mainly horses and dogs). When I brought my service dog prospect home, I was surprised to see the lack of information available to owner-training teams. I have found a delightful and supportive community of knowledgeable trainers and dog-lovers online who have been helping me on my journey. This blog is simply a compilation of the information I've gleaned. Although I'm not a professional trainer, I've been learning from the best. On this blog, I've sought to compile resources, training advice, and human interest bits to help you on your journey as an owner-trained service dog team. Welcome!

And who am I when I'm not training? I'm a mom of a 3 year old, wife to an Civil Engineer and National Guard soldier and a writer/student pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I'm training my puppy for mobility support and psychiatric assistance. Among other issues, I have Fibromyalgia.
