- Bold Lead Design - Quality gear. They offer leashes, collars, mobility assistance harnesses, and accessories like antler chews. High quality, but you may need to save up before you can purchase.
- Active Dogs - Lots of different gear for Service Dogs and other working dogs.
- Ruffwear - High quality harnesses, collars, leashes, coats, boots, etc. Also, they offer a program for handlers of Service Dogs. Sign up and you receive half off of every purchase. Here is the link about the program - Pro Purchase Program.
- Dean and Tyler - Their harnesses especially seem to be a hit among the service dog handler community. But look for their harnesses on amazon.com instead. I've found brand new DT harnesses for amazing deals there.
Making Your Own
- Treat Bag - Find an small camera bag or purse at a second hand store. These work great and usually come with an adjustable strap that you can wear over your shoulder or cinch up to wear around your waste. Cloth bags are washable! Get a few so you can swap out your treat bags.
- Crate Pads - Find baby blankets/quilts/rugs at second hand stores and fold them or cut them to size. These aren't a good idea if you have a puppy that likes to chew AND swallow what he chews.
- Grooming Tables - Find an old TV table on wheels at a
second-hand store. Place a rubber mat or rug on top. If the table is not big enough, stop by the hardware store and pick up a board large enough to suit. Finish this and/or place a rubberized mat over it and nail both down on top of the TV table. If you want an arm, you may be able to purchase an arm off of Amazon or other dog grooming supply place. Just check that your TV table's edge is small enough for the arm to screw onto. Or google "how to make your own grooming arm" online. (As you can see I haven't purchased and/or made a grooming arm for this table yet as my pup stays on fine.)
- Dog Sweaters/Dog Coats - Find a child's sweater or coat at a second-hand store. Trim the coat around the tummy area if you have a male dog. Below are two upcycled people sweaters. The first one is an upcycled child's hoodie. The second is an upcycled adult sweater.
